Madaline Zannes J.D. is a business, real estate, and intellectual property lawyer. As founder of Zannes Lawyers (zanneslaw.com) in Toronto, she is also a speaker, writer, and guest lecturer. Madaline has presented at numerous educational institutions and organizations, including the Law Society of Ontario, the Schulich School of Business, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the Singapore Academy of Law, and has also contributed to a wide variety of legal publications and
journals. She spent close to a decade in legal technology as a consultant for firms and startups, before starting her own practise. Recognized as a legal influencer and thought leader, she promotes legal innovation worldwide, and is known for running the first VR law firm in web3.

Aaron Grinhaus LL.B., J.D., LL.M. (Tax) is a business and tax lawyer, writer, Blockchain
regulatory consultant and founder of Grinhaus Law Firm (grinhauslaw.ca). Aaron is Faculty and Co-Director of Osgoode Hall Law School’s Blockchain Law Certificate and Author of “Practical Guide to Blockchain and Smart Contract Law” (LexisNexis), the world’s first textbook on Blockchain and Smart contract law (now in multiple editions). In January 2022, Grinhaus Law Firm became the first law firm in Canada to establish an office in the metaverse in Decentraland.

Sherena Hussain

Sherena Hussain is a global leader in sustainable infrastructure and finance, lawyer and trusted advisor in implementing new business models. Sherena practiced law at McCarthy Tetrault LLP and has been involved with numerous complex and leading infrastructure projects globally. She has worked at Infrastructure Ontario facilitating the procurement and delivery of infrastructure projects using Public-Private-Partnerships, blended finance and project financing. Sherena is also the inaugural director for a G7 initiative for the Canadian government, connecting institutional capital to bankable sustainable infrastructure projects globally. Her academic roles have led to the creation of leading research and education programs that push new ways to upskill professionals, including the use of metaverse applications for training and deploying technologies to address sustainability challenges globally.

Michael Kasdan

Michael Kasdan is a partner in the IP Group at Wiggin and Dana LLP in their New York City office and has served on their diversity and pro bono committees. He is also an ad-junct professor at NYU School of Law. For the last 10 years, Kasdan has been in leadership at The Good Men Project, where he has served numerous roles on both the editorial and business side, including editing and running its mental health section, and now serves as director of special projects (and senior sports editor). In 2022, Kasdan founded Lawyering While Human. His own personal experience with depression, while working as a practicing lawyer, has given him some unique insights, and he is happy to have this opportunity to share his perspective and what he has learned with others in the field.
